My FYF Crush: Chairlift

During that magical labor day weekend of FYF I discovered my girl crush: Caroline Polachek from Chairlift.

Okay, what I mean to say is that I have been listening to the synthpop duo's hypnotic sounds on repeat ever since the festival. I'll admit I enjoy the live versions of the songs better, but I'll take what I can get:

The xx: Live on Morning Becomes Ecclectic

I was in a state of euphoria when I heard The xx's live set on KCRW's Morning Becomes Ecclectic.

(Photo cred: http://xx-xx.co.uk/)

The group starts it off with the beautiful new single, "Angels", and seamlessly jams its way through the next 30 minutes with songs from both xx and Coexist.  Host Jason Bentley conducts a brief interview halfway through, and its interesting hearing the group speak of its experiences as students and song writers. If any of you xx fans missed it, you can watch it again here.

As I sit here listening to the set (for the 3rd time today), my heart melts with pure joy. I'll admit I haven't purchased the new album yet, but I'm more than convinced now.

Aren't they simply divine?

Cher Lloyd on The Today Show

I recently had another opportunity to work with Nick Florez and RJ Durell (also choreographers for Katy Perry and Pink) on a gig for Cher Lloyd. The job took me to NYC again, but this time for The Today Show.

In addition to her hit single "Want U Back", Cher performed her new single, "With Your Love". You can see the performances here by choosing "Cher Lloyd" in the "latest shows" tab.

I really enjoy working with Nick and RJ because they are an amazing team with a lot of positive energy!
